Nick Burns is a New York City- and San Francisco-based writer, multimedia producer, and editor. Specializing in health, style, culture, travel, grooming and beauty writing, he has contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, GQ, Details, ELLE Accessories, Cargo, POZ, Out, Real Health, NewYorkMag.com, Match.com, HappenMag.com, Tetu, Genre, Housing Works, and many more. Nick’s work has also appeared in GQ South Africa, the Boston Globe Online, Orlando Sentinel, Santa Cruz Sentinel, International Herald Tribune, Charlotte Observer, and Indianapolis Star.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Nick earned a degree in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters degree in Journalism and New Media at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.
Nick is also the co-author of The Bearded Gentleman: The Style Guide to Shaving Face, published by Arsenal Pulp Press.
